1.How is Salt Slayer® different from other pressure washers? Salt Slayer® is a portable pressure washer – the water comes with you wherever you want to wash. No mains power is required. No hose is required. It is the most water efficient way to wash a boat with water - just 1.5L/ minute and it’s possible to wash a small boat with just one 13L fill of the tank. Salt Slayer is different from the Car Cube 12V pressure washer in three ways: Salt Slayer comes with an ear muff connector, alligator clips and socket and can be used with Salt Slayer Solution to neutralise salt and protect gear.
2.Can you use Salt Slayer® with water restrictions?
Salt Slayer can be used with tank, recycled, bore and river water everywhere. Tap water too if your regulations allow it. We recommend you always use Salt Slayer® because it's so much more efficient than a hose wash. A typical hose wash will use 160L of water or more. An efficient high pressure washer will use 66L in 10 minutes. Salt Slayer only uses 15L in 10 minutes Protect our planet – use the least amount of water for every job.
3.Can I add salt water or detergent to the tank?
We supply a salt neutralizer – Salt Slayer Solution. When you add this solution to a Salt Slayer pressure washer you can use salt water.Salt Slayer Solution is a salt neutralizer that will protect the pump in the 12V pressure washer and neutralize salt on your gear.Otherwise, it’s just fresh water in your Salt Slayer washer.
Salt Slayer has not been designed to pump detergents.
4.Can you use grey water?
It is possible to use clean grey/white water from the shower or taps e.g. before the water heats up. This water does not contain soap residue or human bacteria which can be harmful when aerosolised. Salt Slayer has not been designed to pump detergent and soapy water may create foam which could damage the pumping mechanism. Do not use grey water from the washing machine as it contains powerful compounds that might damage duco.
5.Can you use 240V?
To use 240 volts you will need a separate device such as a step-down transformer or jump starter. The device will require input of 240V and on the output side be capable of delivering a minimum of 5-6 amps at 12V DC continuous. The 12V out put must be DC and suitably rectified.
6.Can you close the car door on the cord?
Yes, after you plug Salt Slayer into your accessory port you close the door on the cord. Salt Slayer has a heavy-gauge, flat profile, figure 8 cable. The door seal (usually a rubber trim) easily moulds around it. The cable has a tough PVC sheath that resists cuts and abrasions.

To wash a small boat and trailer you save anywhere from 20 to 200L per wash - a massive water saving. An average bucket wash uses 40-100L (4-11 buckets). The best commercial car washes use about 50L. An efficient high pressure washer uses 36-80L and a garden hose can use 180L or more. Salt Slayer has the Smart Approved WaterMark - a nationally recognised mark for water efficient devices.

Approximately 42cm long x 25cm wide x 35cm high – a small esky.

Salt Slayer® has up to 130 psi pressure. Enough to clean, but won’t damage fiberglass, wood, rubber or paint.
11.Will it drain my battery?
Salt Slayer® draws 5-6 amps. 10 minutes or so of Salt Slayer® use should not affect a battery in reasonable condition.
12.What does it weigh when filled?
Salt Slayer® weighs 18kgs when filled – just a decent sized tool box.
13.I'm not getting the pressure I see in the video (this video is for the automotive washer but the pressure’s the same). What do I do?
The main reason for loss of pressure is air trapped in the line. Each Salt Slayer is tested before it leaves the factory and occasionally air gets trapped during this procedure. It can also happen if you run Salt Slayer dry. To release trapped air: a) Turn Salt Slayer® OFF b) Pull trigger and release any built up residual pressure. c) Disconnect nozzle from the hose. d) Press Salt Slayer® switch ON to allow the trapped air and water to be evacuated from the hose. Let run for about 5 - 8 seconds. e) Turn OFF, reconnect nozzle and then turn ON. OR Are you using an old battery? An old battery may not take a full charge and Salt Slayer's performance can be compromised. OR If you're using unclean water check that the inlet filter is not blocked. The inlet filter is on the floor of your Salt Slayer.
